I am growing,
growing some parts
of my body.

I feel discomfort when people stare,
as if their eyes are saying something,
asking something.

It scares me.
I wonder
am I looking ugly?
am I not dressed properly?

I told my mother
she puts a scarf on my neck
as if I have to cover something
I have to hide my chest.

Now I know I am growing
into a fruit for others.
They want to eat.

And I have to save myself
from all the hungry fruit monsters.
